Joycelin Conner Obituary

Obituary:
Joycelin Conner was born on March 17, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Mabel Currin and Albert Reed Sr. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of the Greater Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church until her death. Joycelin departed this life on October 22, 2018. She was preceded death by her parents, five siblings: Carl Currin, Albert Reed Jr., Mary Lou Currin, Billie Miller and Carolyn Reed. Joycelin was educated in the Little Rock School District, where she was active in cheerleading. She later attended Arkansas Baptist College where she received her Bachelor of Art Degree in Sociology. She worked as a Case manager with The Division of Children and Family Services and Clerical/Administrator Supervisor with The Division of County Operations. She retired from the Department of Human Services after 28 years. She sowed a lot of love and good seeds during her lifetime. Joycelin had a spirited of love and was loved by many. She was an active and faithful member until her death with Modern Free and Accepted Masons of the World, Inc., until her death she was the Worthy Matron of Pillars of Strength Chapter #003, for over 12 years. She was a member of Amaranth Court-Royal Pearls of Wisdom #1309; Heroines of Jericho Court - Meeka #0704; Lady Knight Templar Court- Precious Jewels #1614; and Sphinx Courts - Atarah #2113. Her heart was capture with the many different facets of the Order in which she served. 
Joycelin leaves to cherish her loving memories her one and only son, Jerry Craig Jr.; one brother, Riley Sims Sr.; one granddaughter, Joylyn Craig; one sister Cora (Glean) Finley a very special nephew, Vince (Edie) Miller and a very loving caregiver Jerry Craig, Sr., all of Little Rock, Arkansas. She has a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Visitation and family hour will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Funeral service will be Monday 11:00 a.m. Both services will be at Greater Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, 2823 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, Little Rock. Interment (scattering of her cremains) will take place TUESDAY at 11:00 a.m. in the North Edgewood Scattering Garden (behind the office, the family will meet at the cemetery entrance parking lot).
