Barbara Jean Allen

Barbara Allen (61) of Little Rock, departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2017. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, travelling, hosting surprise parties, being on the telephone, watching television was her passion if it was her favorite shows;the Wendy Williams Show, Steve Harvey Show and Family Feud. Barbara also loved the Fall when the leaves changed colors and would began to fall. And coffee, she had to have two cups daily. Barbara’s memories are cherished by her daughter, Verneda (Andrea) Allen of Hoover, Alabama; sister Mary (Willie) Rachel of Oaklawn, Illinois. Five brothers: Guy (DeBorah) Allen, Willie Allen, William (Evelyn) Allen, Anthony Allen all of Little Rock, Arkansas and Nathan (Alice) Allen of Marianna, Arkansas. Five children raised as her siblings: Carl (Sandra) Kelly, Calvin Allen, Larcenia (Willie) Hall, Treniece (James) Moore and Tamaiko (Bill) Winston, all of  Little Rock, Arkansas. One uncle, Charles (Cleo) Walker Sr. of Jacksonville, Illinois, an aunt, Wilmener Cornelious of Chicago, Illinois, one grandson; Antorio Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friday January 13, 2017. from 12-4pm at the Walter Gillespie Memorial Chapel.

Family Hour; Friday January 13, 2017 from 6:30-7:30 pm at Second Baptist Church 6111 W. 83rd Street (off Geyer Springs Rd). 

Funeral service; Saturday, January 14, 2017, 11:00 am, Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 121 North, Oak Forrest(Moro), Arkansas.
