Brenda Diane Tappin

Brenda Diane Tappin, age 73, was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas to the late Willie A. Jones Sr. and Reverend Lucy Jones. 

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Moody Chapel AME church until her death. She was a member of the Usher Board and long time member of the Kitchen Committee.

She was employed by UAMS hospital as a dietitian for twenty-four years, where she retired. She was also employed at Alexander Turner Daycare as a member of the kitchen staff.

Brenda departed this life on May 17, 2024 and was preceded in death by her father, Willie A. Jones Sr, Husband Louis E. Tappin Jr., daughter, Brenda L Rudley, Sister, Dorothy Green and Brother, Willie A. Jones, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: Children, Tracy (Benjamin) Bennet, Maurice Jones, Lee (Kimmie) Rudley and Adam Tappin, siblings, Mary (Edward) Williams, Eddie (Patricia) Jones, Patria (Colbert) Robinson, Deloris (Gary) Higgins, Roosevelt (Willette) Jones , Tonya (Jessie) Daniels and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Kelly Smith Funeral & Cremation Services will be serving the Tappin families. Services are as scheduled: A walk-through visitation: 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the Funeral home's O.T. Smith & Sons Memorial Chapel. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Moody Chapel A.M.E. Church, 5630 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock.
