Charline Stricklen Lockett of Morrilton, Arkansas was born on October 7, 1950, and departed this life at the age of 71 years old on April 27, 2022. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Charline graduated from Morrilton High School in 1968. Charline was a devoted and faithful member of Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served until her health prevented her from doing so.  She served many years as an usher with the Baptist Usher Union as well as president of the Women’s Missionary Society.

Charline was a very creative person. Her artistry and crafts resulted in many projects: flower arrangements, handmade holiday cards, angel dolls, crochet afghans, covered photo albums, and more.  She shared her gifts with many as well as her great love for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Charlie & Emily Stricklen; her sisters: Minnie Thomas, Gloria Leapheart, Debbie Hersey, Alice Posey, and Georgella Fay Stricklen.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years LeRoy Lockett, Sr, her children Deadria (Johnny) Everette, LeRoy (Brenda) Lockett II, and Dwayne Lockett; her grandchildren Emily Lockett, Dwayne R. Lockett, Jordan Lockett, and Christopher Stacks.
She is also survived by siblings: David (Ruby) Carolina, Johnnie (Norma) Carolina, Ruth Criswell, Larry Stricklen, and Sylvester (Barbara) Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

A WALKTHROUGH VIEWING WILL BE THURSDAY MAY 5TH FROM 12:00NOON TO 3:00PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME

FAMILY HOUR THURSDAY FROM 5-7:00 PM AT THE CHURCH

FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE FRIDAY AT 11:00 AM AT THE CHURCH (CASKET WILL BE CLOSED AFTER FAMILY IS SEATED, AND NOT TO BE REOPENED)

INTERMENT WILL BE ON MONDAT AT 10:00 AM ARKANSAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY
