Vernon Rafael Cortez Reed Sr. 32 of Jacksonville, Passed on November 8, 2022. "CORTEZ" was a Class of 2008 graduate of North Pulaski High School in Jacksonville, he graduated from Kapling Career Institute in Tennessee. Cortez formerly worked at Sonic Drive-In on North First Street in Jacksonville as a Manager.
Cortez enjoyed life as it was, the good and the bad, but never defeated. Singing and dancing was one of his great passions, as well as playing video games, basketball a favorite sport of his whether in person or on tv with LeBron James being his man on the rim no matter what team he played for. The Tennessee Titans was his favorite NFL team, and Roman Reigns was his favorite WWF wrestling champ. He was always eager to watch his all time Anime television shows such as Dragon Ball "Z", One Piece, Rat Battle and the most favorite hero was Deadpool. What was his color, if you knew "Tez" then you would know that red was always his favorite color. More than anything, he loved his FAMILY and his friends, and HE will surely be missed by everyone.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Grandmother: Allene Reed, Parents: Katherine Flowers (Sherman, Deceased)of Jacksonville, Lozell C. Reed (Melissa) of Clarksville, TN. Children: Xantasion Reed(Ellen Chavez), Valencia Richardson (Ciperanna Richardson) Lozell Reed, Zion Reed, Veron Reed Jr(Lindsey Fleetwood) Serenity Reed(Briana Garner). Siblings: Cedric(Judith)Sanders, Analyn(Chris)Lofton, SharMarya Flowers, Sherman Flowers Jr and Jacarius Flowers of Jacksonville, Jon Reed, Cameron Reed of Clarksville, TN. and a host of other relatives and Friends.
A walkthrough viewing will be 3:00-5:00pm Friday November 25th, O.T. Smith Memorial Chapel. Visitation 10:00-11:00am, funeral 11:00am Saturday November 26th, both at Lee Chapel AME Church 421 W. 22nd Street North Little Rock.
