On June 6, 1950 Mr. Henry & Mrs. Mary Anderson of Caruthersville, Missouri  was very excited when they gave birth to a baby boy. The question was then asked, what shall we name him? CHARLES EDWARD ANDERSON,what a good name for our son, and so it was. Along with Charles there were a total of 7 children in the family, 3 sisters preceded him in death (Minnie Mae Simmons, Geraldine Williams and Mattie Davis along with his parents). He graduated from Caruthersville High School in 1968, he worked for many years at the  Gaither's Furniture Company in Missouri and he was an active member in the Baptist church where ever he lived. Later, he moved to Detroit, Michigan where he began working and retired from a meat packing company. Charles married Charmaine Manuel, who also preceded him in death.

Although he was a private person, he loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, doing yard work, working on appliances, which also led him to open his own appliance repair shop, watching westerns, criminal shows such as Law & Order and many others. He loved church and his family, he was very generous and always giving to lend a hand to others that he met along the way. He had a tendency to put others before himself.

On the 3rd day of May 2020, a quiet voice whispered whom shall WE call? Again, it was the name of a 69 year old man by the name of CHARLES EDWARD ANDERSON. He answered while in his bed at his home in North Little Rock, Arkansas with his family surrounding him. He answered, here am I Lord. And on the wings of a dove and with a smile on his face, CHARLES EDWARD ANDERSON departed this life and went into eternity to be with those who have gone on before him. He will be greatly missed by so many, especially his 3 Children: Son(s); DeAngelo Joe of Fort Worth, TX, Charles Craig of Caruthersville, MO. Daughter(s) Elizabeth Burks of Portageville, MO. Stepchildren: Lashone Craig of Caruthersville, MO and Lisa Manuel Battle of Lawrenceville, GA. Siblings: Sister(s); Evelina Anderson of Caruthersville, MO. Brother(s); Adell and Harrison Anderson both of Detroit, MI. 5 grandchildren and a great host of other relatives and friends.
