Delbert Ray Griffith was born in Little Rock, AR to the late James and Vellonia Griffith. In his early education, he attended Booker Jr. High School. Later rceiving a GED Certificate. He was married to Vera Parker from 1985 to 2000. Delbert worked many jobs in his lifetime, one of which was a self taught mechanic. He has helped many of our family members with car repairs. He also worked for ABC Block Company as a concrete mason for many years. His most recent job was a handy man for a contractor doing carpentry, painting and setting up homes for resale. He was a family man, a father, a friend and a brother.He was fun loving and always made his presence known by saying "Jabo in the house." He loved music, wrestling and was very interested in traveling. Because he loved playing the drums, his friends gave him the name "JABO", after James Brown's drummer. He is survived by: former wife: Vera Parker Griffith, Daughters; Natalie Parker, Shelda Stewart both of Little Rock. Son; John Allen (Amber) Fletcher of Benton, AR. Sisters: LaJoyce Griffith Robinson, of Little Rock, Cathy Griffith of Phoenix, AZ, Phyllis Griffith of Little Rock and Lisa (Tracy) Haney Chicago, IL Brothers: Allen James (Desha) Griffith of Phoenix, AZ, Hal Bruce Griffith of Little Rock, and Steven Mark (Valerie) Griffith, of Bartlesville, OK. 8 grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. Gillespie & Kelly Staff will be serving the Griffith families. We invite you to sign the online guest book, send flowers and light a candle in memory of "Delbert".
