EVELYN DOUGLAS ROSE-JONES

EVELYN DOUGLAS ROSE-JONES, age 82, of Little Rock, received her heavenly wings on July 16, 2016. She was born July 10, 1934 to the late George L. And Freddie Crossley Douglas. She was a retired Speech Pathologist who loved helping children and others with their speech and diction. She was also a member of Faith United Church of Christ where she labored for over 40yrs, literally until her death. Evelyn is preceded in death by her Baby girl, Leah Rogers, both parents, husband, William Rose and two brothers, James Douglas and Frederick Douglas.She is survived by her husband of four years, Jerry Jones, two brothers, William (Deloise) Douglas of Aurora, CO; Frank Douglas, Cecile Pendleton and Edna Robinson all of Little Rock, AR; six step sons, four step daughters, 26 step grandchildren, 32 step great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Bullock Temple Church, 1513 S. Park, Little Rock, AR 72204. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evelyn's beloved church, Faith United Church of Christ, 3 Lakeshore Dr., Little Rock, AR, 72204.
