FLOYD JONES Obituary

 "HIS FINAL CALL OF CARING"

Floyd Nelson Jones was a great man full of life. He was born February 15, 1954 in Keo, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; Conilee & Lucille Nelson, one sister; Genera Nelson.

He was also a record holding athlete at Joe T. Robinson High School, he enjoyed many sports including football, track and field, basketball and from time to time he also enjoyed watching a little golf. But fishing, was one of

his greatest hobbies along with working in the yard, watching a good western, hosting family and friends at his home and sometimes just sitting out on the deck enjoying the air.

Floyd retired from St. Vincent Hospital after 36 years as an Orthopedic Tech, he was affiliated with the Baptist church

He was a man’s man and loved his family more than anything. As selfless, loving, caring, patient, kind and understanding as he was; everyone knew not to mess with "THE BUFFALO"! His laugh was one-of-a-kind and would fill the room with a great big boom! He had endless stories to tell about his life, his upbringing, and of course sports! Those same stories would have you laughing right along with him no matter how many times you may have heard it before; you would sit still and listen because his joy would make you stop and listen.

Floyd was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend; he was a special man who left a great impact on the lives that surrounded home. His light will never be forgotten.

He is survived by: Judith Jones, his wife of 47 years of Natural Steps, AR; Children; Rodney (Jane) Torrence of Sherwood, AR., Ronnie Torrence Sr. of North Little Rock, AR., Sister; Sametta Harris of Little Rock, AR., Mary Nelson  of Little Rock, AR., Brothers; Clyde Nelson of Little Rock, AR., Howard (Bernadine) Nelson of Cedar Hill, TX.,  Nine Grandkids, Nine Great-Grandkids.
