Freddie Joe Baker, 53, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020.  His parents Joe Louis Baker and Doris Jane Baker preceded him in death.  Freddie Joe gave his life to Christ at an early age. He graduated from Little Rock Central High School the Class of 1985. Freddie Served in the United States Navy shortly after graduation. Some of the many jobs he worked included: Excelsior Hotel and the Pleasant Valley Country Club in the banquet department and served as a cook at the Little Rock Club.  Freddie Joe enjoyed spreading love through his cooking and he was also known for his "handy man" work in the community. He was also known for his gift of gab, that he inherited from his father and late uncle Bobby Baker (KOKY Radio personality).  

Surviving relatives: Wife; Shannon Mitchell Baker, Children; KeAsia, Kieanna and Jabriel Baker, Stepchildren: Shanika Sisk, Donald Ray Bone, Jr. Sisters; Tina (John) Grissom, Karen Allen, Tarimako Allen. Brothers, Rickey D. Johnson, Kenneth Baker, Christopher Allen, Reginald Allen, Joseph Earl Baker and Mark Baker,  a special aunt Shirley Baker, a special cousin Terri White and Lori Baker-Jones, and special nieces; Candice McBride and Asha McBride and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm Wednesday May 20, 2020 in the O.T. Smith Memorial Chapel. Kelly Smith Funeral & Cremation Services (8424 Kanis Road * 501-612-5607) will be serving the Baker families.
