SERVICES ARE PENDING,
On September 1, 1949, through holy matrimony, in the city of Shreveport, Louisiana somewhere around 25 years and nine months after the other siblings, Mr. George Sr. and Lurline Frierson was presented a new bundle of joy. A baby boy, this child was named GEORGE PHILIP FRIERSON JR. His mother would say, "he was the best part of her life, by having him late kept her young." He grew up and attended school in Louisiana. Later in life, Phil moved to Dallas, Texas for 40+ years, then moved to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Phil loved his the Dallas Cowboys, crawdads, crawfish boils, frying turkeys, taking photos, and going to festivals with Dana, his wife of 28 years. He truly appreciated good music like the blues. (especially, James Brown who was one of his favorites), good food and his good cold COORS LIGHT beer. He really enjoyed attending and watching his grandsons' basketball games, one of his favorite sayings was, "well, hell yeah!"
On February 23, 2021, in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas at 71 years of age, Phil departed this earthly body and transitioned into eternity. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Parents, Sisters; Caro Fisher and Joy Tyler, and Son; Chris Matthews
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, smiles and legacy; his wife Dana, children (and in-laws); Lorey Cain, Jeff Cain, Shay Matthews, Kendra Matthews, Dawn Matthews.
