JOSEPH YORK Obituary

(watch the mini slideshow to the LEFT, please send more photos. full view of photos can be seen on the "TRIBUTE WALL" tab. )

Joseph York 73 of Little Rock, went home to be with the Lord. He was an aluminum recycler for the aluminum company.  Joseph York was born to Frederick and Beatrice York. Joseph had a contagious laugh and enjoyed being around family and friends.

A free spirit at heart, Joseph loved to travel and usually had a big smile. He always asked about what was going on with an individual and had genuine concern about people he encountered. He enjoyed sports and coached softball teams for several years. Joseph served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He is preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and four sisters.

Joseph He is survived by his last of 6 sibling; Rachel Osborne of Compton, CA and the last Arkansas resident, his nephew; Raymond Day of Fayetteville, also nieces and nephews in California,  Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma, Tennessee,  and a host of other relatives and fiends across the country (also along with some other recently discovered relatives in Little Rock).

"For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5:1

This letter is to let you know that I moved. I received notice from GOD, the chief architect, who informed me that my new mansion was completed and ready for me to move in immediately.  You all know that for the past few years, I have been sending up my  timber, packing up my bags and getting ready to relocate.

There were some minor touch ups and finishes that had to be done with the timber that only the Chief Carpenter, Jesus the Christ could do. Some of the touch ups had to be discarded, and redone, while others were just right for the project.  The final coating to be added to seal the cracks, was to get my family and friends ready for my move, without them.

Well, now that my new home is finished and ready, it is all so beautiful, a sight to behold. It is located in a very exclusive gated estate with pearl columns, streets paved with gold and every day is like Sunday.  I've lived in many communities before my new home was prepared, and none of them can compare to this.

There is peace, joy, and happiness here, with no more pain or fear, strife or discontent. There is only sweet serenity everywhere, I can go on and on about my new home, but I have to go and get fitted for my new wings.  So let me give you all MY NEW ADDRESS;

                                                               JOSEPH YORK
