Judy Mae Watkins Maxwell 58 of North Little Rock, transitioned into eternity on Friday October 30th with her family beside her. Judy was born on December 15th 1961 in Lonoke, Arkansas. to Walter Watkins and Annie Mae Johnson Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, (1) sister; Lena Watkins, (5) brothers; Freddie Lee Couch, Bruce, James Sr., Walter Jr., Henry Sr. Watkins. Judy graduated from the Lonoke School District, and Southeastern College of Little Rock. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 30 years at The Manor Health & Rehab Center, VA Hospital and the Robinson Nursing Home all of North Little Rock. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Lonoke, she would always make it known that she LOVED JESUS! She loved to take care of people, she enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends and going to the casino. Her favorite tv shows were the FIRST 48 and COPS. She loved fishing especially for Brim, while listening to her Blues music, one thing she would say was, "Don't Touch My Radio". Her grandchildren were her favorite past time fun, along with cooking barbeque. She was always happy to have her family and friends around her, no one was a stranger to her. When she became ill, her favorite words would always be "IT IS WHAT IT IS." She loved travelling with her daughters to Memphis, Louisiana and anywhere else they would go. She leaves to cherish her every loving moment, her smiles and her legacy: Her children; Latasha (Reginald) Harris of Little Rock, Makisha Maxwell(Maurice) Young of North Little Rock.(9) Grandchildren, (4) Great-Grandchildren, (6) siblings; Betty Springs of Lonoke, Mary (Joe) Edgerson, Walter D. Watkins, Robert Watkins, Jimmie Watkins all of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Johnny Watkins of Orlando, FL. and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing; Friday November 6th 12:00 noon - 5:00pm at the funeral home's O.T. Smith Memorial Chapel.
Graveside service; will be on Saturday November 7th, 12:00pm at the Lonoke Cemetery (Pavilion) on Highway 89.
Internment of her cremains; will be at 11:00am Sunday November 8th, at the Lonoke Cemetery.
