Master Theodore Bear Meng was welcomed into his earthly home on March 23, at 1:27 a.m. at the University of Little Rock Medical Center by his Parents; Scott, and Susan Meng, and Brother Parker Meng. of Eielson Air Force Base in Eielson, Alaska. Grandmother Charlotte Smith (of Little Rock) and other family and friends. At the University Medical Center in Little Rock. Our precious little Bear as we affectionately named him because of Scott's encounter with a bear in Alaska. On the same day 37 minutes later, Bear was gently escorted into heaven by a band of Cherubs peacefully and quietly from the protective arms of his loving parents. Into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Bear had been diagnosed in utero with Trisomy 18 and a serious heart defect. Our family was so blessed to have him in our lives if only for a brief amount of time. Little Bear was a fighter, and a hero in the end by donating his liver so that someone else may have a chance to live. Though Bear is gone, he still lives on in our hearts and in the life and heart of another family. We want our friends and family to know that God heard our prayers to carry us on through this storm in our lives. We are so grateful to the Doctors, Nurses, and the entire staff UAMS Neonatal Unit. We also want to thank our friends in Alaska and in Little Rock who showered us with love and support during these difficult times. Despite our grieving hearts we knew that Bear was safe in our hands, but now he is much safer in the arms of the Lord. Because His Son arose from the grave, we know that we will see our Bear again. The family will have a service for Bear at the Eielson Air Force Base in Eielson, Alaska. Once they return home. The would like to invite you to continue to light a "In Loving Memory Of " Candle. this Memorial Page will remain on our website indefinitely for your comfort.
