MESONIE LEE GREENE

Mesonie, "Meso" Greene, of Lancaster, California, an extraordinary Christian man, Martial Artist, teacher, and deeply adored father, son, brother and friend, died Monday, 3/6/17 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little. Rock, Arkansas, while awaiting a heart transplant.  He was 59.

Born Tony Lee Mesonie Greene, July 27, 1957 in Seoul, Korea, graduated from Valley High School in Kentucky and attended University of Kentucky prior to enlisting in the Army.

Mesonie owned and operated the martial arts studio in Burbank called Silver Tiger Martial Arts & Fitness.  He was a 7th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, a weapons expert and an instructor in hand-to-hand combat.  Mesonie had worked as security/bodyguard for well known actors and musical artists; in addition to doing a bit of acting himself.
Upon meeting Mesonie, you automatically knew two things, firstly Mesonie had a great love for God, which he was sure to share with anyone and everyone.  Secondly, that he was crazy in love with his girls; which he also shared with anyone and everyone!  

He had a natural wisdom of the world, and inspired many people to a deeper philosophical understanding of the world. Then in his later years he found his way back to God and began studying at the Calvary Chapel School of Ministry, but was unable to complete his courses to become a Pastor due to his illness. 

His legacy is his generous spirit, the way his smile would light up a room, and how he generously imparted his knowledge; through his ministry of the Word of God, or teaching of Martial Arts.

Mesonie is survived by his children:  Danielle Greene of Louisville, KY, Tasha and Tawny Greene of Lancaster, CA; his 2 brothers, Michael Greene and George Greene, his 5 sisters, Cathy Snyder, Trish Thompson, Susan Greene, Mary Randall, and Joan Brown; sister in laws Julie Greene and Robin Greene; his brother in laws Tommy Thompson, Richard Brown and Tim Randall; his 8 nieces and 6 nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.

Mesonie is preceded in death by his parents George M. Greene and Sue B Greene (Korean Name:  Soo Bong Choi); as well as his brother in law, Ronald Snyder, Sr.
