Michael Henderson, Sr., 62, of Little Rock/Pine Bluff, is one of thirteen children of Lonzo Henderson and Golena Henderson. Michael passed away on November 13 while watching a football game with his family.
Michael was a jack of all trades, including Welding and Automotive Repair. He spent most of his life as a mechanic, working for companies throughout Pine Bluff before retiring. Michael was a member of the Pine Bluff NAACP, The Optimist Club of Pine Bluff, and The Pine Bluff Jefferson County UAPB/AM&N Chapter. During the holidays, he volunteered for Neighbor to Neighbor, the US Census, and the homeless shelters. Michael leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Golena Henderson; sons, Marcus Rodgers Amir Imani, Michael Henderson, Jr. (Trecia), Courtney Henderson; daughter, Mercedes Henderson; brothers, Billy Huggins (Peggy), Levell Henderson (Erma), Corey Henderson; sisters, Debra Henderson (Stefan), Beverly Parker (Eddie), Nancy Bell (Late Tommy), Dora Blunt (Anthony), Mary Douglas (Dennis), Bessie Counice (Late Jerry), and Bobby Henderson. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by man's hands. Visitation: 1 p.m. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Both services will be Sunday, November 26, at Bethany Temple MBC, 1923 South Olive Street in Pine Bluff.
