Master Elijah Smith while in the arms of his parents Gabriel and Gabrielle Smith in Arkansas Children's Hospital, was carried away to heaven on the wings of angels to join the heavenly host on Friday May 15, 2020. Services pending. He will be missed by his grandparents: The Honorable Judge, Rev. Lavenski and Trendle Smith, and Laymon and Veliscia Hornsby.

Rest, my baby rest, rest in peaceful sleep. For when you rise to open your eyes, God will welcome you into your new heavenly home. He only loaned you to us for a little while, you are already being missed, but God, in His divine wisdom, wrote the plans that He had set for you. He let your life unfold with what seemed to be very short to us, but He already knew the road that was paved before you began to travel. Only He knew, the journey would be brief. So rest on our child, we are thankful that you were with us, even though for a little while.
