STEPHEN P. McDANIEL

Stephen P. McDaniel, Mac to his friends, died on Monday, October 26th, 2020 at the age of 79.  As fortune would have it, he died with “his boots on,” living an active life.

Like an 1849-C Liberty Head Gold Dollar, he is non-replaceable.  Some would call him the king of the swap meet.  He incubated many micro businesses by financing budding, wheeling-and-dealing entrepreneurs.

People loved him for his jovial personality and warped sense of humor.

In the end, he gave up a proper retirement to take care of others.

He is survived by many who love him, including his children, Anita, Rob, Paul, and John, as well as his grandchildren.  He is also survived by three brothers, Houston Carl and wife Allison, Sherman and wife Mary, Michael and wife Darlene, and one sister, Inez King and husband Donnie King.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert Edward and Nelson David. 

Mac was a man ahead of his time.  He thought beyond his upbringing.  He deserved better than he got.

Due to the pandemic, Mac will be cremated with no services.  Dad will sit on my mantle, and if he ever spills, we’ll both laugh.

Mac, you’ll be missed.
