Sam Earl Robinson Jr., 68 of Little Rock, was summoned from Little Rock Veterans Hospital into eternity on November 10th, 2021.

Sam Earl Robinson, Jr. was born to Sam Earl and LeAmanda Mitchell Robinson  on  January 18, 1953 in Macon, Mississippi. He received his Master's of Business Administration from Chicago State University majoring in Independent Studies and his AAS from Kennedy-King College in Chicago, Illinois.

Sam began his career in the United States Marine Corps in 1971 as an Embarkation Assistant and was stationed in Iwakuni Japan and Okinawa Japan and then Manila Philippines.  Sam was honorably discharged after serving our country.

Sam accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and preached the Gospel to many far and near.  Sam moved to Little Rock in June 1986 on assignment to Pastor a small church in Little Rock on 21st Street by the name Solid Rock Assembly of God Church. There he built the foundation for his family. 

Sam began his Law Enforcement career with the City of Little Rock Jail as a Detention Officer,  and Securitas, then he moved to the City of Little Rock Code Enforcement,  next he moved to a private sector as a Customer Service Representative for Cingular Wireless and then Cardinal Health, then on to the Arkansas school for the Deaf/Blind after such time,  and ended his career as a Correctional Officer I with the Arkansas Department of Corrections.  

Sam married his high school sweetheart, Deloris Johnson on  January 19, 1974 to this union were seven children born.  Deloris succumbed to the fight of cancer in 1989 and Sam knew he needed help raising his children.  He married his second wife, Lisha Mixon(deceased) and to this union one child was born.  

Sam loved his family and friends and will forever be remembered by those far and near.  Sam was an avid writer, and an artist at heart, he enjoyed watching westerns, going to the movies and travelling.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his children, Earnestine Robinson of Staten Island, NY; Inez, Jacob, Christina, Kah’Yah, Joseph, and Jabaris Robinson all of Little Rock, Arkansas.  His siblings, Carrie Robinson of Dallas, Texas, Phyllis (Roosevelt) Watkins of Matteson, Illinois, Matthew Mitchell,  Michael Mitchell of Chicago, Illinois,  Carol Lynn Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia, Dexter Mitchell of Orange Park, Florida, Taisha Robinson of Georgia, Tanisha Robinson, of Tennessee, Tina Mitchell Daniels, Anita Davis of Mississippi and Timothy Callahan of New York. His grandchildren, Jade Robinson, Caelun Pettus, Traez Gibson Jr., Kennedi Robinson, Dystinee' Holloway, Ja'coby Robinson, A'yania Gibson, D'Miryon Holloway, D'Lorya Holloway, Jaylon Robinson, Dre'lun Holloway, Brooke Robinson, Maleigha Robinson, Mia Robinson; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Sam is preceded in death by wife Deloris Robinson, daughter Toya A. Robinson, and grandson Jacob E. Robinson Jr., father Sammie E. Robinson Sr., mother LeAmanda Mitchell, brothers Eddie and Cozine Robinson, and sister Linda Robinson.
