Thomas Lee Ward was born January 16, 1948 in Huntsville, AL to the late Thomas Freeman and Martha J. Ward. The sunset on his earthly life on July 6, 2020. He arrived in Chicago at the age of 17, graduated from High School in Chicago. Later married Mrs. Cora Hester. Thomas loved and enjoyed travelling, sports, scrapping, all Chicago sports teams, especially the Chicago Bulls, the Bears, the White Sox and the Cubs and a special love for his family.  Later in life, Thomas decided to move to North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was always quick and witty and always in a jokingly mood. He had his own personal greeting, "hey beat up chick," and we would always respond, "hey beat up dude." he was a proud collector of discarded metals and recyclables, earning his living in an old blue Ford truck as a self-proclaimed "Scrapp Dog". He joined House on the Rock Full Faith Church Ministry, under the direction of his nephew Apostle R. E. Wells, where he remained a member until his death. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his parents, Thomas and Martha, and his elder brother Robert E. Wells Sr. and George Ward. He leaves to cherish his memory a sister; Mrs. Alice Ward-Dunning of North Little Rock, AR a son; Andre Hester of Chicago, IL, a daughter; Tomi (Charles) Thomas of Flint, MI, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a special life long friend Winnie Benson, of North Little Rock, AR and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
