VICTOR VERNARD EACKLES

Victor Vernard Eackles, Sr., 66, born in Little Rock, AR, and raised in College Station, AR, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025.

He graduated from McClellan High School and Metropolitan Career Tech Center, where he received his certification as an
automotive technician. He later became an instructor through the Little Rock School District for 26 years, teaching auto mechanics.

Eackles was preceded in death by his parents, Ida Mae Eackles and Willie Sam Eackles Sr, as well as three siblings Tammy, Sue, and Kenny. He is survived by his wife; Oweeda Eackles, three children; Charlotta, Victor Jr., and Rashad, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and nine siblings. He leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation at 1:00-2:00pm and Funeral service 2:00pm, both will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Moody Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 5630 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, AR 72209.

Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in College Station (Little Rock).
