WILLIE CARPENTER Obituary

(DUE TO TEHNICAL DIFFICULTY, the video coming soon is momentarily DELAYED. BPLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US WHILE WHILE WE MAKE CORRECTION. THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE.)

WILLIE BELL DIXON CARPENTER, 76, of Little Rock, passed on Wednesday, February 2nd, at her home. She is survived by her children: Gregory Carter, Michael Carter, John Carter, Daphne Carter , Tara Dixon, Sharita Carpenter, Cliffany Carter, Kevin Page, Devin Page, Cameron Page, Chavaughn Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

My mom Willie B Carpenter (Gail) was born to Augusta and Catherine Dixon December 30, 1945 and she had 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Although I didn't know much about her childhood, I know that Mom did not finish school, but I remember growing up through the years and she was enrolled at different Technical schools and she always was an “A” student.

The last thing with school Mom did was become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Before she got into schooling, for 15 years she did custodial work and she had seasonal jobs where she would work so many months at Ray Winder Field (baseball) and other months at War Memorial Stadium (football).

She was always a good worker and everyone used to call her Mrs.Willie. To go any
further, she decided to step in and adopt 4 of her grandchildren who were under the age of (2) and a couple of years later she took in a 5th sibling which showed that she had a lot of love to go around.

While raising these 5 children alone as a single parent she introduced them to living a life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses which she put first in her life until she took her very last breath.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor with the Jehovah's Witness via live stream (MEETING ID: 81271685816 / PASSWORD: 615475) Friday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m.

A walkthrough viewing will also be on Friday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home's O.T. Smith Memorial Chapel.

Interment: Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock on Saturday, February 12th, at 10:00 a.m.
